The body construction is based on a compound system consisting of a steel skeleton and body cladding. Both are joined by a
separable connection.
The steel skeleton consists of two welded steel frames with integrated rows of holes to accept drawer runners. This system
ensures that the load of the drawer runners is transmitted directly to the floor via the steel skeleton and the double castors. A
direct, statically-optimum load transfer is thus achieved. The sides of the body cladding are not load bearing.
The body cladding can be either melamine-resin laminated LIGNOpal chipboard or steel sheet.
The drawers are based on a secure connection between drawer, runner and skeleton which allows the steel skeleton to be manufactured
to the closest of tolerances with practically no play and wear.
The drawers are fitted with telescopic runners using hardened steel balls in ball races which allow the load to be optimally
distributed resulting in quieter running.
In this way, the pedestal achieves a 20-30% higher service life.
Further characteristic features: All pedestals are equipped with central locking and end stops. Mobile pedestals have 4 double
castors (two of which can be locked), free-standing pedestals are fitted with 4 adjustable feet.
