BioFelt tiles can be installed with adhesives or with VELCRO Brand Hook Squares, a dry installation system that can be removed without a trace. Made in USA.

Green Label Plus™: Chilewich Plynyl W2W and tile flooring are Green Label Plus™ certified by the Carpet and Rug Institute. These guidelines are written to protect indoor air quality by mandating low VOC products. Green Label Plus™ certification is recognized by the U.S. Green Building Council and therefore Chilewich W2W and tile flooring earn LEED points.
TerraStrand: A significant environmental development for Chilewich was the substitution of petroleum-based plasticizers in Chilewich yarns for phthalate-free, renewable vegetable compounds. Plasticizers have traditionally been made from petroleum-based compounds and are used to make PVC yarns soft. No more. We call this innovative yarn and the fabrics made from them, TerraStrand. TerraStrand contains 25% renewable vegetable content.
BioFelt: BioFelt is a PVC-free tile backing system developed by Chilewich that works with all Chilewich signature fabrics. The backing is made from recycled water bottles, renewable vegetable compounds, as well as post-industrial materials. The total recycled content of the tile (including TerraStrand™ fabric and BioFelt backing) exceeds 55% and can contribute to achieving certifications in environmental stewardship programs worldwide.
