The Fail-Safe SGI meets the requirements for an architecturally styled, completely sealed indirect/direct luminaire. The enclosed and gasketed housing and one-piece door protect against infiltration of airborne bacteria. The die-formed edges on the doorframe and the seam-welded housing prevent airborne bacteria from entering the fixture and plenum. The SGI is suitable for use in environments where a sealed fixture is needed. Applications include patient rooms, hallways, exam and open areas, food processing/testing centers and pharmaceutical labs.
