Fold End Tables

Our new Fold Line is inspired by the forms created by objects flattened in our neighborhood streets, in particular, the metal straps used to attach goods to pallets and boxes here in industrial Red Hook. In tandem, we sought to mimic the patina that naturally evolves on the surface of a material as it weathers and is exposed to the elements. As wood’s soft summer growth wears away to reveal the ridges of the hard spring growth, in steel a darkening, rusting and eventual pitting occurs as water speeds the oxidizing of the surface and facilitates the emergence of character.
