SDH uPVC Valueline

The Simulated Double Hung (SDH) uPVC Valueline window from Zola Windows is the latest addition to it's American Heritage line, a leading solution for landmarked and other historically significant buildings. Consistent with Zola's high quality and unparalleled thermal performance, the SDH uPVC Valueline is designed with R-9 glass and comes in standard triple pane, offering a superior performance replacement window system at a value-engineered price.

Zola's SDH uPVC Valueline is popular among high-performance commercial renovations and new construction in historic properties, creating entirely new possibilities. While traditional double hung windows slide up and down in their seals and therefore are not very airtight, Zola's SDH uPVC Valueline uses two compression gaskets and high performance frame and glass to achieve outstanding thermal performance and air tightness. This is achieved by cleverly integrating a lower Tilt & Turn window and an upper Fixed window into the frame dimensions, shadow lines and glass lines of a typical double hung window. The lower Tilt & Turn part offers great ventilation in tilt mode, or can turn open for maximum airflow and easy cleaning.

The glass is Zola's extra clear R-9 triple glazed unit, but double glazed options are also available. The triple glazing features two low-E coatings, high performance glass spacers and Argon fill, coupled with an industry-leading 71% visible light transmission to ensure light flooded rooms. For increased sound protection, Zola offers the window with custom asymmetrical glazing, which provides up to 51dB (decibels) of soundproofing performance. For buildings that require a historically sensitive window and the best in airtightness and thermal performance, the SDH uPVC Valueline is an economical choice.
The frame and sash are made from steel reinforced uPVC, leading to great stiffness and stability while retaining a simple clip-in glass system for easy glass exchanges. Frames come ready for install with or without an install flange depending on project requirements, and can be embedded into a well resulting in a slim frame aesthetic. The standard color is white, but a wide variety of colors and metal or wood-look foils can be laminated on during the production process.
