The reintroduced Colonial Sofa dates back to 1964 though few people know that Ole Wanscher actually designed this 2-seater Sofa at the time. The Colonial Sofa is part of the Colonial Series which also includes the classic Colonial Chair and Footrest and the newly released Colonial Coffee Table.
The serie clearly reflects WanscherпїЅs fondness for the delicate and refined as well as his fascination with furniture design from the 18th century England and bygone Colonial times.
The Colonial Sofa comes with loose cushions and the seat moves freely in the frame, which features a cotton webbing base. Like the Colonial Chair, the Colonial sofa is available in mahogany, walnut and oak with either fabric or leather cushions.
Designed by Ole Wanscher, the Colonial Sofa was first introduced in 1964 and re-introduced by Carl Hansen & Son in 2015.
