The Dark Luxe line is based on Black Oak in a harmony grading. In addition to the described characteristics of a natural oak plank harmony grading, the Black Oak has an overall black colour with a soft variance of colours within the grain of the wood. Lighter tones can be seen along the line of the grain and in the sapwood.
Pre-treatment: Vacuum fuming to achieve a dark colour through the thickness of the wood. Priming: Water based lacquer added a black tone pigment. Intermediate treatment: High gloss lacquer followed by sanding. Top finish: Several coats of ISO lacquer and a finishing sanding.
