For over two centuries, the timbers used to build old barns on farmland along the United States eastern seaboard have been maturing to perfection. These beautiful old structures were made from a mixture of Red Oak and White Oak - the latter predominating. We have reclaimed these precious materials from the sides, floors, roof sheathing and structural beams to bring you boards of unrivalled quality and character. These ancient boards tell their own story of the early settlers of former colonial America, through their unique nail holes, cracks, watermarks, saw marks and other characteristics, etched by many years of faithful service. Today these nutty brown coloured timbers are ready to grace your floor as they begin a second existence. With Antique Oak, you have an opportunity to bring the past back to life!
