A welcome addition to the award-winning Tuxedo Component Lounge collection, Tuxedo Tables take the group beyond seating, offering designers an almost infinite range of choices. It‰ЫЄs now possible to create a harmonious landscape that offers surfaces for working or serving. Individual trays, placed atop the same pencil-thin metal bases as the original system, provide varieties of scale. The rigorously conceived design also eliminates an excess of legs.
The tabletops, crafted of solid wood, have soft-rolled corners and carved edges adding an approachable softness. Smaller trays can be added to nest atop them, for serving or to form a layered table surface. Tuxedo Tables can do duty as a corner unit to separate two lines of seating. Tables come in three sizes in ash or walnut with either a solid wood or veneer edge.
The tables are designed by Craig Bassam and Scott Fellows, who created the original Tuxedo Lounge Component collection in 2011. They conceived all Tuxedo elements to blend comfortably with both modern classics by Ward Bennett for Geiger and the legacy pieces of Herman Miller. Tuxedo Tables recall the simplicity of the mid-20th century and the essential minimalism of the future. Their inviting, rounded corners exude a warmth that ties them to the design philosophy of Geiger, which focuses on form, function, and craftsmanship.
