SHEETROCK® Brand Primers are available in a variety of formulations to meet your specific interior wall and ceiling priming needs. SHEETROCK® Brand Primer is a vinyl acrylic, latex-based primer for application over new drywall, concrete, and previously painted surfaces. Excellent hiding properties uniformly conceal the substrate. Dries to a white color in approximately 60 minutes. SHEETROCK® Brand First Coat is specially designed for priming new, interior gypsum panel walls and ceilings before painting or texturing. It has been formulated specifically to equalize both porosity and surface texture differences and provide greater uniformity of the finish coat. It minimizes porosity differences by providing a base that equalizes the absorption rate variations between the drywall face paper and the finished joint compound when painted. SHEETROCK® Brand Wallcovering Primer is the ideal basecoat for wallcoverings and the USG™ Decorative Interior Finish System. It may be used on cured new or old plaster, masonry and gypsum panels. It prevents wallcovering adhesive from soaking into porous wall surfaces.



SHEETROCK® Brand Primers are available in a variety of formulations to suit your specific wall priming needs. Options include SHEETROCK® Brand Primer, SHEETROCK® Brand First Coat and SHEETROCK® Brand Wallcovering Primer. SHEETROCK® Brand Primer is an ideal primer for various interior priming applications. It effectively hides substrate texture and helps present a smooth finish coat. It produces a clean, white decorating surface that readily accepts a variety of finishes and decoration. SHEETROCK Brand Primer can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray. SHEETROCK® Brand First Coat applies easily with brush, roller, airless or conventional spray. An economical primer option, it covers approximately 300 to 500 sq. ft. per gallon. SHEETROCK Brand First Coat can be intermixed with wall and ceiling spray textures to enhance hardness, bond and whiteness. SHEETROCK® Brand Wallcovering Primer is an economical priming option. It covers approximately 250-350 sq. ft. per gallon. This versatile formulation can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray. Its protective qualities prevent adhesives from soaking into porous wall surfaces.
