Hjorthagen backed bench

This backed bench, like the table, armchairs and benches in the Hjorthagen family, carry on the Swedish tradition of painted furniture. Painted in alkyd oil enamel, the bench is durable enough for year-round use outdoors. An unpainted version of the bench is also available in oiled oak, which showcases the natural beauty of wood grain.

Material
The slats in the seat and backrest are made from profile-planed glue-laminated pine. The wood is painted with alkyd oil enamel in standard colours NCS S 3060-Y20R, NCS S 0502-Y, NCS S 8010-B90G or NCS S 4550-Y80R. The legs are fitted with plastic feet.

Installation
Freestanding.
The bench can be secured to the ground
with fixtures ordered separately.

Maintenance
Oiled wooden slats should be re-oiled once or twice a year. Over time the wood will darken. Painted pine can be treated as needed with alkyd oil enamel.
