A sculptural day bed? A wavy furniture ocean? A body-shaped space for meditative relaxation? Ernst and Jensen have designed Waves, which is all these things and more. An unconventional piece of furniture for the public space and formal waiting areas. A tangible conversation piece. Waves was created for Erik Jargensenas first talent competition in 1994 that was held to mark the companyas 40th anniversary. The two architecture students designed the piece together and won a and since then, the duo has designed several ground-breaking Erik Jargensen products, including the sofa series In Duplo, the table series Insula and the easy chair Ginko.
