Our antique barn boards are reclaimed from barns, which are slated for demolition or are no longer structurally sound. The natural weathering and aging process over the last 100 to 200 years has created unique characteristics and charm that can be achieved through time. Barn siding usually contains checking, insect holes, nails throughout, and noticeable weathering on at least one side. Coloring varies yet the planks are generally have a grey hue from weathering.

New England Grey Board is reclaimed from the exterior of barns. Not having been painted, the natural aging process of wind, rain and snow over a century or two, creates the deep grooves and variation in coloring.
