Concieved as bed-side night stands for a newly-wed couple, this piece explores the "whole as the sum of the parts" in true form. With the drawer faces of the individuals sharing a singular piece of material, a continuous meet-in-the-middle drawer pull, and an edge softened elliptically at the shared perimeter only, this pair can be brought together to serve as a credenza or bed bench, displaying more apparently these attributes. A wipe-on polyurethane finish gives a desirable aesthetic while offering the best protection from cold water glasses and hot coffee mugs. Drawer boxes made in solid poplar with 1/2" birch plywood bottoms.
