–The inspiration for this family of desk and floor lights comes from signage found alongside roads and motor-ways. The idea was to bring rough and functional typologies into the domestic environment, for indoor use,” explains Sylvain Willenz. Willenzкs usual starting point for a design will begin with a material, but with LandMarks, he began with an idea, a sketch and a reference. He has developed the initial concept into a functional domestic product that reflects perfect proportions, colours and lines, presenting a strong form. These engaging, graphic forms have been reworked in powder-coated sheet steel with the addition an opal, acrylic diffuser. The lights are available in table and floor versions.
