All of Eagle Window New England’s aircraft-grade aluminum clad windows utilize Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) for our window frames.
LVL is made by gluing thin strips of wood together to create a uniform material that is not only stronger than solid wood of the same size, but is virtually free from warping and splitting.
In addition to creating a strong frame, our use of LVL is an environmentally friendly building practice.
Our products can be made from small trees of many species, and finger-jointed materials. This takes advantage of cutaways and trimmed lumber and efficiently utilizes wood sources.
Whenever possible, we use engineered wood products to help facilitate the use of new-growth timber, reduce waste, and extend the life of old-growth forests.
