This very unusual and highly sought after Louis XV-style chair is reproduced from the original reclining physician's chair, designed in American circa 1850 to evoke the wild west frontier of the United States. The original chair featured handcrafted leather upholstery incorporating saddlebags and gun holsters, as well as arms that pulled forward to reveal metal rods for resting oneÕs legs. Selected by William Switzer from Uno Langmann's eponymous antiques shop in Vancouver, the original is a testament to the creative eye of our founder.
