The buildings of Venice, the “City of Water”, are constructed on closely spaced wooden piles. After centuries of submersion, most of the piles not only remained intact, but petrified, transforming into stone-like wooden foundations that support the city. By naming the new flooring color after Venice, Coswick designers sought to pay tribute to this unique ability of wood to signify both beauty, luxury and incredible endurance.
Old Venice wide plank flooring comes with factory applied Eco Silk Oil finish. This innovative environmentally friendly finish is derived from seed oil and other natural components. Eco Silk Oil finish consists of 2 coats of natural oil that penetrates into the wood pores, preserving authentic look and textured feel of the wood floor surface. Eco Silk Oil has high resistance to moisture or temperature fluctuations. Eco Silk Oil is easy to maintain; renewing this finish is a quick and simple DIY procedure.
Oak Old Venice flooring is available as 3-layer single strip engineered CosLoc 5G flooring (5/8" X 7 1/2" X 7').
