© Aliki van der Kruijs | Born from a process of exploring two- and three-dimensional spaces through a deceptively simple grid motif, Slide is the most streamlined design in Aliki van der Kruij's VEER collection. The grid evolved into a more linear composition by eliminating the Y axes. A barely discernible shift in the weave of the three yarns that create Slide's ribbed texture give the pattern its name. In nine of the colorways, white or light tinted lines of alternating widths form vertical "stripes"ќ; in contrast to the red lines woven into the charcoal and off-white stripes of "Porcelain"ќ. The sturdy and luxe cotton/polyester/nylon construction utilizes many of the colors adapted from van der Kruijs' photos of weathered architecture.
