It is recommended to make the headboard 42”high if you intend to use a pillow-top mattress that is 14” - 15” high. Increasing the height of the headboard is more appropriate to the design than increasing the height of the platform in order to obtain a bed (top of mattress) which is approximately 20” off the ground.
Must specify: Height of headboard at either 36” or 42” With or without Cut-out in heaboard
The platform which supports the mattress is plywood with a rubber surface (to keep the mattress from sliding). The plywood platform is supported by the framing which extends beyond the mattress on three sides and is held up off the floor by steel legs. Also, the platform is on levelers to adjust to uneven floors.
BD-75 ships in five or six pieces (depending on size) and requires simple assembly on site (two bolts must be tightened into pre-drilled holes on all four corners of the bed and platform drops into the framing).
