Our first table to use an aluminum extrusion as an expansion joint for its wood top. Two slabs are fixed along the table's edges and breathe inwards, with the aluminum slot's width varying by 1/2” across the seasons. With the top peeling and lifting from its frame, the table is most expressive made in two different woods.
