Earthy yet chic, our Cerused Stump Table comes to us from Indonesia, where it was crafted from suar wood — a sustainable hardwood that’s made from a fast-growing subspecies of rain tree. Rather than being left to rot, the stumps of harvested trees are carefully excavated in a painstaking process that pays off in the form of this one-of-a-kind end table. The top and portions of the sides are sanded and polished to a smooth finish while other parts are left untouched, making each one completely unique with organic cracks, knots and splits. A black cerused finish highlights its beautiful graining while also adding a bit of a modern feel.
