Inspired by the sea in motion, Finnish designer Antti Kotilainen created CHIP with graceful lines and rhythmic curves suggestive of a cresting wave. The forms of the seat and back are achieved by laminating 27 separate sheets of birch, and are supported by a chrome-plated steel frame. Available in both arm and armless versions, CHIP can be specified in a wide range of vibrant and neutral colors and can stack 12-high on the floor or 20-high on a dolly. CHIP is perfect for cafeterias and auditoriums and, with an optional seat pad, serves as a versatile side chair in conference rooms and offices.
