TRANSITIONAL PATTERN

The geometry is precise, and the circles are similar. But they are not the same. Was the famous Rubicon River that Julius Caesar crossed the same as the one that sits in Italy today?  We don’t know, but we do love this simple, organized pattern of ovals.  There is no return from crossing the Rubicon.
