End grain countertops are made by cutting the pieces of lumber into blocks and gluing them together with the end grain up forming the top surface and exposing the wood rings and grain patterns. End grain countertops carry less structural strength than side grain or plank construction. In general, as the countertop size increases the overall stability decreases. We recommend full support of this product up to a minimum 2-½” from the edge. Customers should pay particular attention to acclimation to ensure the material is well-supported during and after installation.
