Welland Canal Timbers: Batch #2818
These two massive Douglas fir chunks of timber are all that remains of twenty epic 37” x 41” x 42’ timbers that were salvaged from the Welland Canal many years ago. The larger timber is completely uncut except for one end and has a one of a kind weathered and sculpted surface patina. The second timber has been slabbed so that the top sawn face exposes the old-growth grain and ferrous staining. Original bolts and bolt holes running through the thickness and width of the timber are preserved in both pieces.
