This limited edition silkscreen print comes to us from Japanese artist Haruna Niiya. For this piece, she was inspired by autumn landscapes and ancient Japanese paintings of the moon. The print is made up of meticulous layersпїЅfrom individual leaves and blades of grass to bird feathers. Each layer must be hand drawn and carefully added to the print, with thin layers of paint pulled across the paper one at a time. The enormous scale of these detailed silkscreens requires two people to pull the screen, and completing a series of prints takes many months.
