Antalya is quarried from a bedrock quarry in Denizli, Turkey. The color selection of Antalya will be medium to light in tone. It is also possible to have some grey spots or veins visible in the stone. This travertine is a great option for larger projects, with a large inventory available in Anaheim, Tempe, and Houston. All travertine stones will have natural cavities, or pits, visible in the stone that developed when carbon dioxide bubbles became trapped during the formation of the stone. Prior to honing, this travertine is filled with a colored cement to fill in these cavities. There will be noticeable variations in color and movement between pieces. This particular crosscut travertine will have larger than normal areas of fill in some pieces of tile. Therefore, it is important and recommended that a range of this product be viewed before finalizing a purchase. As a natural stone product it is recommended that it be sealed to extend its longevity.
