Vinyl Prep® Clear Wallpaper Primer
PRO-909 is a cost effective, clear acrylic wallcovering primer for general purpose applications, such as over sound paint. It is not recommended for new drywall or unsound surfaces. For those applications, use PRO-999 Rx-35 or PRO-977 Ultra Prime.

Product Information General Properties: Economical water-based primer for preparing sound
acrylic or latex paint on sealed drywall for wallcovering installation.
• Better than sizing

Recommended Uses: To prepare walls for wallcovering installation, apply
over sound drywall primed or painted with an acrylic or latex primer or paint
NOT Recommended For: Bare or unsealed drywall, vinyl-over-vinyl
applications or conditions that require a white hiding primer, such as patched
walls or dark colors. In these cases, ROMAN’s PRO-977 Ultra Prime®
is
recommended. Not recommended for direct application over oil-based
primers or paints.
Compatible Coatings: Most water-based products and all ROMAN®
adhesives
Substrates: Sound acrylic or latex paint on sealed drywall; promotes even
drying of the adhesive
Mildew-Resistant: All Roman products contain biocides for in-can
preservation
Specification Data Coverage: Up to approx. 400-450 square feet per gallon
VOC (regulatory): ≤50 g/L
Drying Time: Typically dry-to-touch in approximately one hour and ready for
wallcovering installation in three hours. Low temperature, high humidity and
poor ventilation will slow down the drying process.
