Description

Whitney Brothers’ commitment to design and build best-in-class Early Childhood wood furniture products is more than just a goal, it’s an ongoing 110-year tradition. Founded in New Hampshire in 1904, our brand reflects a rich 110-year heritage of old world craftsmanship blended with state-of-the-art CNC manufacturing technology to design and manufacture award-winning furniture, storage, display and educational play products that set the standard for quality and value. Where quality and value are imperative, there simply is no better product choice. Whitney Brothers began life as a manufacturer of wooden toys that were sold by none other than FAO Schwartz, our first commercial distributor. That singular point is testimony to the high quality of our brand and continues to guide the standard of our product quality to this very day. In 1963, Whitney Brothers correctly identified the burgeoning trend of dual-income households and then invented and pioneered the commercial distribution of wood furniture for Early Learning and Institutional Childcare. These market segments are pivotal to modern American society and continue to comprise the core of our business. Today, you’ll find Whitney Brothers products in schools, childcare centers, Head Start facilities, churches, libraries, museums and residential homes throughout North America, South America, the UK and Europe. The materials we use are solid hardwoods and solid plywood laminates. Our manufacturing techniques achieve smooth, rounded edges, employ the strongest woodworking joints (dowel and glue, screws), and are finished by hand. We design extra-wide spaces between doors and frames and use full-length continuous hinges to prevent little fingers from getting pinched. Special care is also given to ensure that all knobs, handles, hooks, magnets and moving parts are smooth, rounded, and firmly attached to prevent breaking free under rigorous use. Our state-of-the-art finishes are American-made and meet the most stringent safety requirements. Before any of our products are delivered to customers, each one must pass a 45-point safety inspection that far exceeds CPSIA standards. Every product we manufacture is made right here in the US and has received the prestigious GREENGUARD Gold Certification®, ensuring they are the safest products available on the market today. A proud American manufacturer, we’re confident in the superior value of our products and stand behind every one of them with a Lifetime Warranty. Our philosophy is simple. We set continuously higher standards of safety, quality, innovation and value because we believe our products should last for generations of use. And, they do.
