Description

With more than 40 years experience in the global Vanerum Group, Vanerum Stelter has changed the way students learn by “making the bridge between tradition and technology and ergonomics.” The company aims to create spaces where learning is facilitated, so teachers and learners can communicate in an appealing, productive, and healthy atmosphere.

  • Lighthouse: Winner of a Best of NeoCon 2012 Innovation Award, Lighthouse “transforms any floor space into an interactive desktop using a digital ultra-short throw projector and interactive hardware/software.” Ideal for very young students as an interactive learning tool, Lighthouse encourages effective learning in an collaborative and fun environment. Designed by Johan Haeyverts, Lighthouse gives children an excellent introduction to technology, which “helps them develop the foundational skills needed for future learning success and adapt to technology later in life.”
  • Opti+: Opti+ is a classroom seating and desking system that features excellent ergonomic design and student visibility. The higher seat ensures that students can see above the heads of those seated in front of them, which makes Opti+ perfect for stadium seating configurations—without the sloping floor. The higher seat also allows students and teachers to see eye-to-eye. Additionally, Opti+ provides an adjustable footrest, so students of all ages and heights can maintain good body position. Active corners, lumbar support, dynamic back, waterfall edge, and air-cushion shell keep student bodies comfortable while they shift positions throughout the lesson. It’s easy to see why Opti+ is a clear winner for effective, egalitarian, ergonomic student furniture.
  • Vivd: The work of Belgian designer Bram Boo, who likes to disturb the usual rules in order to create “emotionally surprising” objects, Vivid is a group desking system that encourages collaboration. Four desks in a quad arrangement each features a backrest that doubles as the next chair’s work surface. Workers or students can turn around to confer with the person behind them, using the work surface as a place to rest. Two USB ports are built into the frame for power, and the wires are routed cleanly through the leg. Vivid is available in Vanerum Stelter’s wide range of powdercoat paints, which includes bright Lime, bold Orange, calm Light Blue, and classic Graphite.

Vanerum Stelter manufactures excellent educational furnishings and accessories; the company also provides services for schools such as rendering/layout, project management, and installation. Headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Vanerum Stelter consistently works to offer cutting-edge products that respond to current research on effective learning environments.
