AP288—
An amazingly sculptural rocking chair, AP288 illustrates what innovative designers can accomplish when working with a material such as teak. The back is composed of one large rectangle bisected by the seat, which is a smaller square. Beautifully curved legs contrast with the rectilinear pieces, though the real show stopper of this rocker is its arms—two perfect circles with a tail that doubles as the armrest. Designed by Kipp Stewart, AP288 is an aesthetic revolution in teak, transforming the durable material into art.

HB310—
A rectangular dining table constructed of sustainable teak, HB310 measures 75” wide, 37” deep, and 29” high. Durable and weather-resistant, HB310 is also heavy: at 114 pounds, the dining table should stay exactly where it’s placed, regardless of winds or other natural conditions. Designed by Mark Anders, HB310 features gracefully rounded corners and a base composed of two U-shaped legs.

X500—
A chunky lounge chair dominated by X-shaped side supports, X500 offers a commodious place to rest and relax indoors and out. The creation of designer Alwy Visschedyk, X500 measures 41” wide, 36” deep, and 28” high—enough room for daydreaming or an afternoon nap on land or at sea. Crisp, clean lines and linear edges balance the large proportions of this lounge chair.
Summit Furniture uses plantation-grown teak from sustainable forests on the Indonesian island of Java. A deciduous hardwood native to Southeast Asia, teak is strong and durable. Because it’s resistant to insects and almost immune to decay, teak has been used for many years in shipbuilding and for indoor/outdoor furniture. Summit products showcase the beautiful color and grain of this organic material.
