New Collection:
Larsen Fabrics’ new collection for 2013 includes bold graphics and sensuous solids. Toshibi is a dynamic print with geometric shapes that form a cubist landscape or cityscape. Black against cream, Toshibi focuses on its outlines and tonal variations; the fabric is also available in red/purple (with gold accents) and taupe/beige. Katsu features an organic field of summer wildflowers resembling Queen Anne’s Lace. Available in steel or taupe, the flowers are white against a colored background softened by nebulous shading, as if the flowers are shrouded in crepuscular mist. Ubeko is a strong pattern of hexagons; Hisao of rectangles; and Miho of vertical lines.

Stencil:
A collection of graphic fabrics, Stencil pays special attention to repeated geometric motifs. Retro is a dynamic patterns of Xs available in black and beige. Melody features undulating lines and swirls in black, taupe, or marine against a cream background or white lines against linen. Infinity displays loops of ribbon in a seemingly endless, interconnecting pattern. Infinity is available in beige, black, red, blue jeans, and linen. Other fabrics in the stencil collection feature vertical lines, pyramids, squares, circles, and diamonds, as well as coordinating solids.
Larsen Fabrics is well known for its mid-century graphic patterns and use of bold colors. The company continues this tradition with contemporary patterns that highlight positive and negative space. Its collection also includes fabrics featuring unusual weaving techniques and unique textures.
