Once the exclusive Italian manufacturer of Charles Eames and George Nelson licensed products, De Padova is an Italian brand known for its long commitment to modern furniture. Based in Milan, De Padova produces residential and contract furnishings, including chairs, armchairs, sofas, beds, tables, bookcases, cabinets, outdoor furniture, and accessories. For the contract market, De Padova offers “technically suitable products of high aesthetic impact,” serving office, corporate, hospitality, and retail venues.
Since the 1950s, De Padova has produced sleek and unique modern furniture. From its beginnings as an importer of Scandinavian furniture, De Padova grew to produce its own collection of furniture for residential and executive markets. Headquartered in Milan, De Padova has collaborated with well known international designers such as Charles Eames, George Nelson, Vico Magistretti, Achille Castiglioni, Dieter Rams, Renzo Piano, Gaetano Pesce, Patricia Urquiola, and Nendo.
De Padova has produced some of modern furniture’s most memorable pieces. In the category of chairs, for example, the company offered the famous Wire Chair by Charles Eames. Many decades later, in the 1990s, De Padova manufactured the Ola Chair by Patricia Urquiola.
