Founded in 1988 as Garden Source Furnishings, the Atlanta-based company soon changed its name to Currey and Company to reflect a new focus on interior design products after its early collections of chandeliers and other lighting fixtures were recognized as its most successful products. The company continues to specialize in lighting, particularly in large, distinctive chandeliers, but it also manufactures a wide array of other fine furnishings, including a line of charming "faux bois" furniture, made of reinforced concrete shaped to look like raw tree branches, in the classic French style.

Chandeliers —
Currey & Co.'s core product is the chandelier. From minimalist and understated to massive and ornate, a Currey & Co. chandelier is a statement piece, a graceful accent and a functional light all in one. With well over 100 designs currently in stock, and more in development, Currey & Co.'s chandeliers are as diverse as the homes in which they hang, but they all exhibit the characteristic Currey & Co. Old-World stylishness and a certain jazzy flourish that sets them apart from any ordinary electric fixture. Among the most innovative and intriguing are the Axel Orb Chandelier, featuring four candle-shaped tapers within a sphere of curved slats of aged chestnut, and the Passionata Chandelier, a gorgeous confection in white crystal, with fully a dozen light sources, an extravagant assemblage of draping beads and curved grace-notes of frosted glass.

Wall Sconces —
Currey and Company's wall-mounted lighting solutions come in nearly as many designs as its chandeliers, and are likewise available in simple and elaborate options, often accentuating, rather than concealing, the light bulbs themselves. With decorative motifs drawn from nature and traditional European design, these Wall Sconce Lights can fill any niche in home decorating. Favorites include the Bolzano Wall Sconce, crafted in the shape of a pine bough, complete with cones and needles, in wrought iron with a rustic bronze finish, and the Starburst Wall Sconce, which consists of two small small bulbs in faux-candle sockets, and a 12-pointed star of angled antique mirror behind them on the wall.

Tables Lamps and Floor Lamps —
Currey and Company sells a large range of table lamps, and smaller line of floor lamps, most of which feature unadorned fabric shades and decorative cast or carved bases. Some of Currey and Company’s most interesting designs include the Metamorphosis Table Lamp, with a black fabric shade and a life-like cast ginkgo leaf part way up the base, through the middle of which the top section of the lamp projects; and the Driftwood Floor Lamp, with a plain linen shade and long base of iron covered with overlapping pieces of untreated salvaged driftwood, for a unique natural look.

Furniture —
Currey & Co. still retains some of the garden-style outdoor furniture it once manufactured exclusively, but it now focuses on beautifully crafted interior furnishings with solid hardwood construction and exotic veneers, as well as simpler white wicker and raw wood tables and chests of drawers. Many of the more elaborate pieces included sophisticated marquetry patterns based on Amish quilts and classic Chippendale and Ancien Régime designs. In a departure from these traditional styles, Currey & Co. has now also begun to create an altogether origin line of tables, credenzas and bureaus inlayed all over with antique mirror for a show-stopping sparkle.
